Chaka Khan.....................Chaka Khan is one of the most popular and richest R&B Singer who was born on March 23 1953 in Chicago Illinois United States. R&B performer whose version of the song by Prince I Feel for You was a big hit. Also, she is the frontwoman of Rufus.'s I Feel for You is widely regarded as a hit. Khan is also the lead singer of Rufus. Khan was raised as a Catholic. She went to the Hyde Park Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in her primary school. She credits her grandmother for introducing her to jazz when she was young. Khan became a fan of rhythm and blues music as a preteen and at eleven formed a girl group named the Crystalettes with her sister Taka. Many claim that Khan was named Chaka when she became a member of the Panthers however, she claims that she was named by the Yoruba Baba gave her the name Chaka Adunne Aduffe Karifi when she was the age of 13. The singer left in 1969 from the Panthers in 1969, and left high school following her time at Calumet High School, and Kenwood High School. (Now Kenwood Academy). She was a performer in Chicago with Cash McCall and his group Lyfe with Hassan Khan. Chaka and Hassan got married in 1970.
