Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin has been an actress in Canada as well as New Zealand for over a decade. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin began her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, making her the second-youngest winner of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin spelled out Anna Helene Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Canada on the 24th July of 1982. She is a Canadian-born New Zealander actress. In 1993, she was awarded her first Academy Award at age 11 as the curious and talking girl who is the daughter that was Holly Hunter who played the leading character. As a result of an audition, Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish piano player. Flora McGrath is the daughter of a muted Scottish musician who moved into New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. As a teenager her family left Canadian to United States. Paquin played a minor role in the film's title role when she was just a young girl on Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) as well as a lead part in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin was the character Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television film adaptation Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 film Amistad. The actress played teens as teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
