
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on January 19, 2008 in the USA. She was an American film television, theatre, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre. She was a part of films during the 1950s in the latter half of the decade. Later, she became an actor with a lot of recognition in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 until 1978, Pleshette appeared regularly on various television productions. She also was the character Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 of 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer who appeared on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage director in both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
